Alba Deangelis (b.1988) is a photographer that uses architecture as a subject of her artistic work.
Grown up in Apulia, South Italy, she moved to Milan in 2007 to study architecture, discovering photography in the classrooms of the Polytechnic University. The great change of culture and environment shaped her mentally and visually, so she started to use the camera to put the visual and emotional chaos of the city under mental and aesthetic control. Through a process of detachment and abstraction in which the context is often of no interest, she focuses on few particular aspects of a space, isolating portions of it and merging them with her life experiences, memories and emotions. Self-taught, she works since 2017 with Italian and international publishing houses, magazines, and private clients.
